Summer and a new year
Dear friends,
I pray that you are keeping well and enjoying the continued freedom and lifting of restrictions that we currently have in the UK. It has been so wonderful to have the last 6 weeks off school for our summer break and to have the freedom to travel around the country and spend quality time face-to-face (not on Zoom!) with many people who I love. I have driven 1000 miles in the last 6 weeks and been in Bath, Cornwall, Reading, London, Gloucestershire, Norfolk and Suffolk. What a relief after having spent so many months not being able to go anywhere and living online! Getting to drive and spend time chatting, eating, walking and praying with people has just been so good for my soul. It has also been wonderful spending time getting to know people at The Gate, the church that my parents are part of - and to catch something of their heart and their vision.
My sunflowers have also grown remarkably over the break! It has amazed me how massive they have become in such a short space of time!!
And here I am, back in Stubbington and about to start another academic year at KISC online. We are transitioning back to Nepal time this weekend which is fun - it's beyond bizarre to be jetlagged without having gone anywhere! All schools are still closed to in-person learning by order of the government, so while learning is fully online I feel as though I may as well stay in the UK, where the internet connection is significantly better and I am close to family etc. However, once schooling can resume in person, I am really looking forward to flying back. I have had my second vaccination, praise God, and also have my visa sorted. Please continue to pray for Nepal as the Covid cases seem to have plateaued but remain relatively high. Also, please continue to pray for KISC as we are training and recruiting new staff - and staff are fairly scattered around the world.
If you have your eyes peeled, you'll spot me a couple of times in this recruitment video:
Thank you for your continued support and prayer. I am so thankful for you!
With much love
Hannah
