A New Adventure...

Dear friends,

So it is heading towards a year that I have been back in the UK and my last blog post finished with me accepting a year's contract to teach at a local all-boys school in Reading and heading out to France for the summer.

Well, it has been a fascinating year to be back in the Reading area - a season of challenge, of God hiding me away, of growth, of family bereavement, of hard work, of teaching all boys and all ages, of worship leading, of dance aerobics, of making new friends. I am so grateful that God brought me back into this place to reconnect and take stock after 11 years of living away.

But, as you know, I am always wanting to catch what Jesus is doing and pursue Him wherever He leads. So on 18th July I fly to Kathmandu, Nepal! He has opened up a job for me there at KISC (Kathmandu International Study Centre) as a primary school teacher for an initial commitment of two years. I know this might seem random, but it has been so clearly orchestrated by the Father that I would be foolish not to go! Back in December, when I was trying to be organised and make summer plans (booking early often gives good discounts), I felt Holy Spirit nudge me to wait each time I went online to book something. So I have known since then really that something is coming.. just not what!

Then at the beginning of March I went to a prayer meeting that happened to be about Nepal - followed by Nepal being mentioned in roundabout ways in conversations that week. Then I saw adverts online for KISC and realised someone I know has been working there for a number of years, which was followed by such an encouraging phone conversation about the school and Nepal. My home church has had good links with Nepal for many years and various people have been over there and are continuing to do that. Then God put this incredible family across my path who go to my church and have spent a number of years living in Nepal (separate to the ministry our church has already there), so I started spending time with them. ...the list goes on.. Once I had my interview and my heart connected with these leaders at KISC, I knew for sure in my spirit that it was of God. I love the ways He woos us around the nation and around the world, and just continually surrendering and giving Him my "yes" leads to wild adventures!

How can you be part of this wild new adventure? Firstly, please watch the videos as they will give you a much clearer vision of what's going on. Secondly, please PRAY for me - this is a very quick turn around and I need to stay so close to the Father's heart. Please also tell me if He gives you any words or pictures, visions or dreams for me. I have already received a number of prophetic words from people about this, so if you see something as you are praying, please let me know - everything is lining up so fast!

Thirdly, the school will cover my living expenses, but as you can imagine, it is more of a voluntary position than a salaried position. If you feel led to financially support me then you can at my account set up for missions:

Please make sure you put your name in the Reference section so that I know it is you and can thank you personally!

Thank you for journeying with me - I know that some of you have been reading my blogs and my email updates for many years now. I will also send this link out on email, as I did with Hawaii and put it on facebook and instagram. If you would like it emailed to you, please send me your email address and I will add you to the list.

I will continue to keep you updated, please continue to uphold me over the next 3 months as I prepare - there are a lot of things to sort out: insurance, my mortgage, my car to name a few.. I only have days between finishing my current job and flying out, so please just pray that God will protect my heart and surround me during this time of transition. I have just had the most blessed and wonderful time away with dear friends in California and Canada, so my heart is pretty full right now. But you know how easy it is for your peace and joy to be stolen! I definitely covet your prayers, your encouragement and anything you hear from God for me.

Thank you friends, you are treasure to me.
